Your integration week

A professional trainer delivers your dog and stays for seven days, teaching everyone in your home to handle it with confidence.

  1. Day 1

    Delivery and introductions

Your trainer arrives with the dog, demonstrates what it can do, introduces it to the family and sets the week's schedule with you.

  2. Day 2

    Foundations

Eye contact, sit, down, place and heel. You learn timing, how to reward good behaviour and how to give commands clearly.

  3. Day 3

    Leash handling

Using the leash to communicate, controlling the dog outdoors and handling its strength safely while it works on command.

  4. Day 4

    Off-leash control

Remote-collar communication, off-leash obedience and structured play that drains energy so the dog stays relaxed at home.

  5. Day 5

    Obedience in public

Taking off-leash control out of the house, into the neighborhood and into everyday public settings.

  6. Day 6

    Protection scenarios

Realistic scenarios built around your lifestyle, plus muzzle work. You learn to switch your dog on and off with precision.

  7. Day 7

    Review

A full review of commands, handling, protection and exercise routines, and answers to anything still on your mind.

How buying works

From the first conversation to life with your dog, here is what to expect.

The buying process, step by step

  1. Consultation. A conversation about your home, family, property, routine, other pets and the security concerns behind your search.
  2. Matching. We recommend specific dogs whose temperament, training and energy suit your household, and send you video of each one.
  3. Agreement and deposit. A signed agreement and a 50% non-refundable deposit reserve your dog. Training then begins to be tailored to your household.
  4. Delivery and integration. A trainer delivers the dog to your door and stays for a full week of hands-on integration with your family.
  5. Follow-up and support. Weekly check-ins through the first month, then ongoing support by phone and chat whenever you need it.

How our dogs are bred, raised and trained

Our dogs come from documented German and Czech working bloodlines, and every litter is planned. Parents are paired for nerve strength, stability, drive and balance, and only a limited number of litters are bred.

Puppies follow an early neurological stimulation program from birth, then spend their first months living in trainers' homes, growing up around children, other pets, household noise and the bustle of family life. Only the top three or four puppies from each litter continue into protection training.

Training is built around unpredictable, real-world situations rather than sport routines. The dogs learn off-leash obedience and steady, controlled protection work, and they are trained to work without visible equipment like bite sleeves. Before placement, every dog is evaluated for composure, courage and reliability, both in controlled settings and out in the real world.

Choosing a breed

Belgian Malinois. Fast, intensely driven and highly trainable. A Malinois bonds deeply with its family and stays calm at home when its exercise needs are met. Ideal for active owners.

German Shepherd. Balanced, intelligent and steady. German Shepherds tend to forgive handler mistakes more readily than other working breeds, which makes them an excellent choice for first-time owners and families.

Dutch Shepherd. Strong, athletic and stable under pressure. Working-line Dutch Shepherds combine serious drive with adaptability to different homes and climates.

Family, executive and personal protection

Family protection dogs are matched for a social, tolerant temperament and socialized around children, guests and everyday household chaos. They are relaxed companions at home and protective when it matters.

Executive protection dogs are prepared for travel, public settings and discretion: quiet in meetings, calm on aircraft and ready to respond.

Personal protection dogs are trained around one person's lifestyle, schedule and environment, and go everywhere with their handler. Owners living alone are often matched with a dog that is powerful, highly obedient and easy to handle.

Living with a protection dog

Day to day, a trained protection dog behaves like a well-mannered companion: relaxed and neutral at home, friendly in social settings, playful during structured play and focused only when given a work command. It can come with you on walks, in the car and to most public places that allow dogs.

Plan for daily exercise and mental work, keep obedience sharp with short daily sessions, and book an occasional professional tune-up. Your trainer will give you a simple routine during integration week.

Protection dog questions

Cost, safety, training, delivery and ownership. Ask us anything else during your consultation.

How much does a protection dog cost?

Our trained protection dogs range from $100,000 to $200,000. Price reflects each dog's breed, age, level of training and individual qualities. Delivery, trainer travel, the 7-day integration week and follow-up support are included.

What deposit is required?

A signed agreement and a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the price reserve your dog. Once reserved, the dog's training begins to be tailored to your household.

How old are the dogs?

Dogs are placed fully trained at 18 months to 3 years old. That is the time it takes for a dog to mature mentally and complete its socialization, obedience and protection training.

What is the difference between a protection dog and a guard dog?

A personal protection dog lives with you and protects people: at home, in the car and out in public. A guard dog protects a place, usually a fenced property such as a commercial site or estate, and is valued for territorial behaviour.

Are protection dogs safe around children and other pets?

Yes. Our dogs are raised in homes with children and socialized to handle noise, rough touch and unpredictability. Tell us about any pets you have in advance so your dog can be socialized with similar animals before delivery.

Are protection dogs aggressive?

No. They are capable, but that capability is controlled. In daily life they are stable and neutral, they engage on command and they release instantly. Most are social and outgoing; if you prefer a dog that is more reserved with strangers, tell us during your consultation.

Will a protection dog bite without a command?

Most of our dogs are trained to engage only on command, which keeps you in control and limits liability. For specific security needs, a dog can be trained to respond on its own when a real threat appears. Every dog releases immediately when told.

Do I need experience to own a protection dog?

No. Your dog arrives fully trained, and during the integration week your trainer teaches everyone who will handle it how to give commands, handle it on and off leash, and manage protection commands safely.

Do I need to meet the dog in person before buying?

No. We send video of every dog we recommend so you can see its obedience, temperament and protection work before you decide. The dog is then delivered to you in person.

Is delivery included?

Yes. We deliver in person anywhere in the United States, and transport and trainer travel are included in the price. International delivery can also be arranged, and we handle the travel documentation.

How long does it take for the dog to bond with my family?

Most dogs begin bonding within the first few days and form a strong connection within one to two weeks. Full integration typically takes two to four weeks, depending on the dog and how closely you follow your trainer's guidance.

Can I change the dog's name?

Yes. If you reserve early, we can train the dog to your chosen name. A new name can also be taught after delivery. The registered pedigree name stays the same.

What support do I get after delivery?

You get weekly follow-ups throughout the first month, then ongoing access to our team by phone and chat for the life of the dog. In-person refresher sessions are available when you want them.

Does a protection dog need ongoing training?

Yes, a little. Short daily obedience sessions, clear routines and occasional professional tune-ups keep your dog's obedience and protection work sharp and reliable.

How much exercise does a protection dog need?

Daily physical exercise plus mental work such as obedience, scent games and structured play. A well-exercised working dog is calm and relaxed in the house.

Can a protection dog live in an apartment?

Yes. Structured exercise and mental work matter more than square footage. With a consistent routine, a protection dog is calm indoors.

Can my protection dog travel with me?

Yes. Our dogs are acclimated to airports, aircraft, cars, trains and boats, and stay calm in busy, confined spaces. Check each airline's rules for large dogs before you book.

Is it legal to own a protection dog?

Owning a trained protection dog is generally legal in the United States, but cities, HOAs, landlords and insurers can have their own rules. Check your local requirements before your dog arrives. This is general information, not legal advice.

Should I tell my insurance company?

Yes. Let your homeowner's or renter's insurer know, and consider an umbrella liability policy. Some insurers have breed-specific rules.

Why not just raise my own puppy?

Most dogs will not protect their owners in a real confrontation. Reliable protection depends on genetics, confidence and years of socialization and training. A trained adult has already proven its temperament and completed that work, so you know exactly what you are getting.

What veterinary care does a protection dog need?

The same routine care as any healthy dog: checkups, vaccinations, parasite prevention and dental care. Because they are working athletes, occasional orthopedic checks help keep hips and joints healthy.
